Test card are used for baypass the boot of the phone so you will insert testcard instead of original sim and phone will start to be able to unlock with java application.

If you don't have testcard, I think the simplest methode is to do one: buy one universal-sim and program it with pkey in advance mode and select "test" .

Hmm. I'll start from begining:

Testcard it's used to make phone to start when setool ask for that. Even your phone isn't unlocked yet, you are able to power on the phone (no network) it's like offline mode for nokia. So when your phone starts, setool will run an "executor" from your phone which will unlock the phone. This is a java based solution, so that's why you need testcard, for not having a lot of sim's from all known operators, to make phone start.


For me I think it's easyer and lowcost, to make a testcard using universal-sim solution instead of programing yourself one.
